The 4th International Workshop of CSES was successfully held in Oct. 17 – 20, 2019 in Changsha, China

The 4th International Workshop of China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) Mission, co-organized by Central South University, China National Space Administration (CNSA), China Earthquake Administration (CEA) and Italian Space Agency (ASI), was held in Changsha, China during 18th-20th October, 2019. The 1st International Symposium on Geo-hazards Perception, Cognition and Prediction (PCP) was co-held together.
The symposium attracted more than 100 experts, scholars and industry representatives from 15 countries and regions, including China, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand and the United States. The domestic participants came from tens of institutes and universities of China.
The head scientist of CSES missions, Prof. Shen Xuhui, Deputy director of ICD, addressed an Opening Speech, introduced the latest satellite mission and presided over the Keynote-I meeting. Prof. Zeren Zhima, director of Center for Satellite Application in Earthquake Science, gave a detailed presentation about the present operation sate of CSES and presided over the session 6 with the title of CSES satellite platform and payloads.
There were 10 sessions and 87 scientific presentations organized in this workshop. The experts and scholars fully discussed the achievements and key technical issues for CSES mission，related data processing, validation and evaluation methods, latest scientific results of CSES mission and plans for future projects.
The date and place of the next 5th International Workshop of CSES was leased during the 4th CSES workshop. The 5th CSES workshop will be held in May 11-14, 2019 in Chengdu, Sichuan. Welcome global experts and scholars to attend and exchange their research achievements.
